My work is an exploration of scale and illusion and by manipulating these I alter the perception of the relationship between object and viewer. I am interested in what happens at the very instant this occurs; how emotions can be awakened because of the altered perception of an object. I am driven by the unpredictable and the unexpected, but I also experience fear the unknown, and this has become the core of my practice. I create sculptures and installations which in a subtle gesture question the unexpected, yet familiar and humoristic aspect of how we engage. My work process is based on intuition and how the relationship between object and subject are generated. Coincidences intrigue me. The fear of changing ideas and wandering into the unknown is what restricts me. Yet it is that very fear that keeps my hands busy and drives me beyond the secure.
